1/20 Eagle Wrestling Week One:
Hello Escalante Wrestling Parents of 2025 season,
My name is Aaron Egoak head coach for Escalante Wrestling program. Our coaching staff is excited to soar into this season with a Bang! For those who I haven’t met yet I have been coaching football and wrestling here in Durango for the past 3 years. Last year our team worked extremely hard to become league Champs! It was an incredible season and I am looking forward to running it back for a second straight year!
I wanted to go over what the the weeks will look like prior to our season starting and what our schedule will look like for this season...
Starting Tuesday January 21st we will have our first practice beginning at 3:45-5:30pm at the rock wall area at Escalante Middle School due to basketball having practice in the both small and big gym. We will either be in at the rock wall or small gym this week.
This week Practice schedule
Mon - NO school NO practice
Tues- 3:45-5:30pm
Wed - 3:45-5:30pm
Thurs- 3:45-5:30pm
Fri- 3:45-5:30pm
In order for your kid to participate for the first day of practice your kid should have the following requirements:
- updated physical
- Registration
-$50 district athletic fee
For the fee if you have already paid for it please send me or our AD Will Dodd [email protected] a screenshot of your confirmation email that you have completed the District fee as we are having technical difficulty with it showing who has paid.
Reminder bring water, wrestling shoes, and gym clothes such as t-shirt and shorts (knee pads optional) to practice!
Thank you parents for the work you put in to get your kids ready for our 2025 wrestling season. Your work does not go unnoticed! We have 26 kids registered so far! I am super excited and looking forward to meeting everyone for this upcoming season. Our Eagle Wrestling season kicks off Tuesday, January 21st after school and will run through the league championship held in Bayfield on Saturday, March 8th. Wrestling is open to all 6, 7, and 8 grade students. To be eligible to participate, students need to complete the registration checklist linked below.
