A Celebration of Diversity and Multilingualism (#WeAre9R) will be held Thursday, May 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Durango High School Cafeteria. This family-friendly event will celebrate the diversity of our students, families and staff who are multilingual and welcome anyone who is interested in learning about diverse cultures.
Bring a traditional foods potluck dish to share that represents your heritage. Traditional clothing is encouraged. Staff member Orlando Griego will share a playlist of world music. There will be student performances, including a Spanish song, a Thai dance, and a speech about cultural awareness.
